We reached our goal of helping the Burbank Non-Profit Coalition gather all needed supplies for the Back to School Fair on August 7, 2022.
Thank you to all of our members who purchased crayons and donated to the foundation via donations or happy dollars to help us reach our goal of being able to support the Burbank Non-Profit Coalition purchase supplies for the backpacks for the Back to School Fair.
We originally committed to providing 200 packs of crayons for the backpacks. Thanks to the outpouring of support from our members, as well as a grant from our very own Burbank Rotary Foundation, we gathered all of those crayons and were able to purchase ALL of the remaining supplies that had not been donated yet! Michelle's trunk was full of notebooks, rulers, erasers, and lots of other supplies that she delivered on behalf of our club to help 400 children.
Thank you to everyone who has participated (so far) in this service project. The children who receive the backpacks will be so excited!
We still need volunteers to help stuff the backpacks on Friday, August 5th from 9 am - 12 pm, or Saturday, August 6th from 12 pm - 3 pm. In addition, we need volunteers to man our booth on the day of the Back to School Fair, August 7th.
