David Henseler, the current president of the South Bay Sunrise Club, is heading up a Camp Pendleton donation event. The last donation event was hugely successful, with Rotary collecting two huge U-hauls full of items that are needed by families at Camp Pendleton. This is a great opportunity to help military families, who often have to move frequently.
The next collection event will be on April 22, 2023. Update from an email from David:
Please note: our drop off location for this event is the VFW Hall parking lot, 1822 W 162nd St.  Gardena (Western and 162nd St.)
We are not able to accept furniture (except cribs and play pens) or electronics.
We are accepting car seats in good condition to go to Mexico.
We are accepting adult clothing.
We are accepting shoes for Soles 4 Souls.
If you are wondering if it is suitable for donation, consider this: If it is good enough to give to your son or daughters family, it is good enough to give to our soldiers.
