The Burbank Noon Rotary Club was proud to recognize Firefighter Paramedic Brennan Blazer as the recipient of the 2026 Firefighter of the Year Award, celebrating a remarkable commitment to service, leadership, professional development, and the Burbank community.
As part of the recognition, the club also presented a $1,000 donation to the Burbank Firefighters Foundation in Brennan's honor, ensuring that the impact of this award extends throughout the department and supports firefighters who serve the community every day.

In just three years with the department, Brennan has distinguished himself through an extraordinary commitment to growth, leadership, and service. He has completed company officer coursework and promotional preparation, serves as Secretary-Treasurer on the Firefighters Union Board, supports colleagues as a member of the peer support team, leads innovative training initiatives, and continually studies to strengthen his paramedic skills.
Accepting the award, Brennan emphasized that the recognition belongs to the entire department.
"This award is not a one-person award. You call 911, this department will treat you as their own brother, their mother, their father, their sister."
The Burbank Noon Rotary Club congratulates Brennan Blazer on this well-deserved honor and thanks all members of the Burbank Fire Department for their dedication to keeping our community safe.
