The karaoke is based on the Rotary tradition for birthdays where someone can bid money for someone to sing. The person nominated can accept and sing the song they were nominated for, or pay extra to change the song, or not sing. The results are always amusing and a ton of fun. Burbank Noon Rotary presents awardsBy Isabel Adams The Burbank Noon Rotary is proud to support the art departments at Burbank and John Burroughs high schools. For the benefit of those who may not be familiar with this program, an invitation is made to the art department class at each of the high schools to participate in an art design related to their respective schools.
Burbank High chose their school mascot, the bulldog, as their subject. Burroughs chose scenes around the high school campus as their subject. The submitted entries are then judged by the Rotary Club members to determine the winning art design. |
